Tequesquitengo Lake

Tequesquitengo is a town in the municipality of Jojutla in the state of Morelos, Mexico. As it is located on the shores of Lake Tequesquitengo, it has become one of the most important tourist destinations in the region.


Lake Tequesquitengo, located in Mexico, is the main water storage in the state of Morelos, is a closed basin of 28 km², with a flooded area of ​​8 km². Its main source of supply are springs that are distributed in different points of the lake itself.
